Patrick Leahy and Roger Liley originally hail from the Mandurah – Rockingham area, south of Perth. Both surfers started surfing in their pre-teens, days when wetsuits were merely a dream. They started West in 1982 when they were both in their late twenties, and spent the decade prior to this work being involved in the surf discovery in Western Australia and Indo.
